There comes a moment when you look at your life and realize it no longer fits.

Not because you made the wrong choices. Because you have grown.

You are not the same woman who said yes to that job, that role, that version of your life. Your values are different now. Your priorities have shifted. The life you built was right for that season for the woman you were then. She was doing exactly what made sense. But she is not who you are anymore.

I had my own reckoning with this, sitting on a beach in Jamaica. I realized that my family had taken the lead position in my heart but work still demanded the majority of my time and energy. The gap between where my heart was and where my days actually went had grown too wide to ignore.

Maybe you recognize this.

If you hear yourself saying, "I know I don't want to keep doing what I'm doing, but I don't know what to do next" that is not confusion. That is the clearest thing you have felt in years. Your inner woman is telling you the truth: this life was built for a different season. And you have earned the right to want something different.

Wanting more is not ingratitude. It is not a crisis. It is growth doing exactly what it was designed to do.

The question is not whether you are allowed to want something different. You are.

The question is will you create the space to figure out what that something is or will you keep pushing through, hoping the restlessness with pass.

You only get one life. It is time to start choosing the woman underneath all the obligations.
